Arrange for a Bow Trial
There is usually a waiting period to try bows, though not always. Please
contact Mr. Andersen at for details of current stock or
length of waiting time and to discuss details of a trial.
No deposit is required to hold a place on his list. In some cases a deposit may be required to receive bows on trial. If a deposit is made, it is paid just prior to shipping and is fully refundable. There is no obligation to buy if the bow or bows sent do not suit the player's needs. The only obligations that must be agreed to when trying Andersen bows are their timely return and the cost of return shipping.
Trial periods range from ten to fourteen days depending on the needs of the client and Mr. Andersen's schedule. You will be told when you initiate contact the approximate waiting time before bows are shipped. If the amount of time changes significantly during the waiting period you will be informed by email. Shortly before the shipping of bows you will be contacted again for the purpose of final arrangements.
Bow trials to countries other than the United States can be more complex and expensive to arrange. The recipient must be responsible for all customs charges and duties that may apply.
While Mr. Andersen deals with clients directly, his bows are always available through Ifshin Violins in El Cerrito California as well. Players in the greater San Francisco bay area and any player that first tried Andersen bows at Ifshin Violins should contact them at to arrange a trial. Ifshin Violins also ships bows nation wide.
On a limited basis, Andersen bows are occasionally available through the shops of Yung Chin in New York City, Andy Lim in Cologne, Germany and Aitchison and Mnatzaganian in Ely, UK. Prices through European suppliers can vary due to exchange rates, and VAT taxes.
